What's worship like at Lord of Life?

Worship gatherings at Lord of Life are the times we come together as a faith community to offer our thanks and praise to Jesus for the saving work he has done on our behalf - and learn more about who our God is and how we can live as disciples who hear and follow God's Word for our lives. It is a time when we receive again the Word of grace and forgiveness that allow us to live free and honor God with a re-commitment to live as His children.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we welcome all to worship - We strive to be a place where you can find a warm welcome, an encouraging word, a respite from the world's demands as you experience God's presence.

What else do I need to know?

Our worship celebrations are informal and Spirit-filled.  Some folks come into the modern, airy gymnasium all pumped up and conversational, others come in quiet and ready to feel the Holy Spirit fill the room. Your way is okay.  Families see enough children to know their kids are welcome, and single adults and single parents see enough people looking similar that they're comfortable, too.  We won't ask you which denomination you belong to, and we try to make everything simple enough that new worshippers are just as comfortable as long-time worshippers--and our worship coordinators are available for any questions.

Besides all that, please know that... 

• Dress is casual - we're more interested in your heart than your clothes!
• We worship in air-conditioned, handicapped accessible public school facilities
• We offer a professional nursery for children 0-3 years all morning with individual children's ID numbers radioed to worship space projection screen in the event of any need for a parent
•  We all begin worship together and then the children are released from worship after Communion,  children ages 3 years through 8th grade can join our Sunday's Cool program during both worship celebrations.
• We use and make available New Living Translation Bibles
• Holy Communion is open to all who want to live within the forgiveness and the love of Jesus
• Prayer ministers are available after Communion for a brief private prayer and after each service for longer ministry. Please look for them as you have need.
